Dear, International Student in Canada,
I am S. Jun An, Certified General Accountant.
I made this site to provide you with international student tax refund information.
If you do not have income tax payable to Canada Revenue Agency, 365 days are open to claim the tax refund even though you do not have any income in Canada in the year.
Applications and income tax filing
• GST/HST Credit Application
• Income tax filing (from you became a resident to a non-resident, Max. 10 previous years are possible)
• Social Insurance Number (If you do not have, Individual Tax Number is required)
• Generally, 80 days are required to process your claim (If CRA asks more document, it will take more days)
Expected Refund
• If you do not have income and resided in BC at the end of the last year, GST/HST refund of $149 per quarter (prior to 2008년 $100 per quarter is expected, if you have family, more refund expected.)
• If you have an income, the refund will be depending on your income, income tax you paid, days in Canada, and so on. Please remember you need T4 from you employer.
Required Documents
• Student VISA (If you have visitor or short-term VISA, it will be very difficult to be eligible)
• Passport
• Social Insurance Number or Individual Tax Number
• You and your family member information (SIN and Date of Birth)
• Phone number and address (Due to the 80 days of process, you will need a stable address to communicate or receive letters and cheque from CRA at least three months.)

• Other receipts and rend are not eligible to claim tax refund since April 1, 2007.
You can scan the above document, send them to my e-mail(jun@juntax.com), and pay the service fee to my bank account, I will send you all documents to your e-mail. You can print, sign, and mail them to CRA.
The service fee will vary depending your situation.
